Although Nanjing Road, Shanghai is famous across China, it struggles to keep pace with international shopping centers such as Ginza in Tokyo and the Champs-Elysees in Paris, participants in a Shanghai forum said yesterday, Shanghai Daily reported.

More than 250 government officials, scholars and senior executives of top luxury brands met yesterday to discuss "Brand, Street and Market," the theme of the forum jointly organized by Shanghai Economic Commission, Jing'an District government and Forbes China.
