Alan Thomas has been appointed general manager of Six Senses Hideaway Hua Hin and Evason Hua Hin in Thailand. In his new role he will be responsible for the day to day operations of the two Six Senses properties located in Pranburi (see map Pranburi), a short 20-minute drive south of Hua Hin town. He will report directly to Six Senses Resorts & Spas area director for Thailand.
Prior to this Alan was the opening general manager of the Crowne Plaza Marlow in Buckinghamshire, England. An experienced international hotelier, Alan has gained experience and managed in a diverse portfolio of hotels including: Hotel de la Paix, Geneva, Switzerland; The Savoy Hotel Group, London; and The Mandarin Oriental in both San Francisco and Hong Kong. More recently, in London, he was deputy general manager of the Grosvenor House, followed by a stint as the general manager of the Westbury. He then spent four years as general manager of the prestigious Stapleford Park Country House Hotel and Sporting Estate in Melton Mowbray in England, before taking charge of the Crowne Plaza Marlow.
Consequently, Alan brings to Six Senses nearly 30 years of valuable management experience. A family man, his other interests include golf and sport in general.
