Sansiri Plc plans to launch a five-billion-baht condominium project called Quattro in Thong Lor next week following its earlier success at this popular location.

The project will consist of 28- and 36-storey buildings on a 4.5-rai plot in Thong Lor Soi 4. Its 446 units will be sized from 49.5 square metres and priced from 7.2 million baht. Construction is set to begin at the end of this year and to finish by 2012.

President Srettha Thavisin said he was confident the development would meet demand in the high-end market, which was proven by sales of two billion baht during its one-week presale period.

Over the last 20 years, Sansiri has developed 33 premium condominiums with 4,700 units worth 31 billion baht. About 90 percent of the projects are in the central business district (CBD) in areas such as Silom, Sathon and Sukhumvit. It also has housing and condominium projects in Hua Hin.

Srettha said demand for premium projects in the CBD still existed as new supplies were limited by a scarcity of locations and an increase in land prices.
