Sweden's Johan Edfors stormed into a two-stroke lead at the Black Mountain Masters on Thursday after carding an opening-round eight-under-par 64 (new course record) at Hua Hin in Thailand.
Edfors took control at the Asian Tour event with six birdies and an eagle three on the par-five 18th to move ahead of Korean teenager Noh Seung-yul, who shot a 66 at the Black Mountain Golf Club.
Frankie Minoza of the Philippines, George Coetzee of South Africa and Australian trio Chris Gaunt, Neven Basic and Peter Cooke are one stroke further back.
Edfors undoubtedly saved his best for last when he hit a three wood to within 15 feet of the pin on the 18th hole before putting for an eagle.
