Celebrate Buddha's birthday on Sunday, April 26th, 2009 7:00 pm ~ 9:30 pm in Seoul at the Lotus Lantern Festival. A spectacular lantern parade, a Buddhist culture street fair and a traditional lantern exhibition take place on Jongno Street and in and around Jogyesa and Bongeunsa Temples.

Dragon Lanterns, Pagoda Lanterns, White Elephant Lanterns, Phoenix Lanterns, Lotus Lanterns, each and every one displaying its beauty. With dozens of large floats and some 100,000 individual lanterns, the parade offers a breathtaking experience, turning the streets of Seoul into a sea of lanterns.
