The top nations from tennis' ATP Tour compete for the Arag World Team Cup at the beautiful century-old Rochus Club in Düsseldorf, in the city's premier sporting event.
The attractive setting and the high "see-and-be-seen" factor in the crowd have ensured early sell-outs for many years. The event is just as popular with players, who see it as an ideal warm-up for the French Open, and the US$2 million purse doesn't hurt either.
The tournament format divides the eight teams into two groups; each team plays round-robin against its group. In this way there are exciting matches each day of the week.
The tournament is a prime social occasion for Düsseldorf's chic society, and more than 75,000 people per year fill the arena to the last seat. The cup is not only the hottest topic in Dusseldorf's Altstadt pubs, but also in more than 160 countries, where the tournament is televised. If you are around in May, this is the place to go.

Full details of this year's teams and players can be found on the Arag World Team Cup website.
