Fairmont Le Montreux Palace, built in 1906 is a jewel of the Belle Époque architecture, and is also known as the Pearl of the Swiss Riviera. On the shores of Lake Geneva the hotel offers 236 elegantly appointed and luxuriously furnished rooms.

With an outstanding reputation for this kind of work Richmond International set about gently restoring and redesigning key areas of the hotel bringing these up to the standards the 21st century luxury hotel market demands. After six months, the multi-million renovation including Public Areas, 3 conference rooms, the Brasserie and over 100 guestrooms and suites has now been completed.

The challenge, in undertaking this task, was to breathe new life and glamour into the interiors whilst, at the same time respecting the hotel’s historic traditions and architectural heritage.

In the newly refurbished guestrooms and suites classical architectural details have been restored and an emphasis has been placed on the space and light afforded by uninterrupted views of Lake Geneva. The pale taupe walls and drapes provide a soothing backdrop to a fresh, sophisticated color palette of pear, lime and stone. Artwork is provided by a series of colorful photographic prints which represent the reflective qualities of water.

The traditional and contemporary elements in the rooms have provided an interior which is sophisticated, elegant and timeless offering high-technology such as individually-controlled air conditioning, the latest flat screen television, wireless Lan and high-speed internet connection.

To provide guests arriving at the hotel’s main entrance with a greater sense of arrival the hotel’s main reception has been re-located to the ground floor. The ground floor also benefits from a new lobby lounge and bar which also serves as a transitional space from the lobby to the hotel’s Brasserie.

At street level, the Brasserie has always been a destination in its own, popular with hotel guests and the locals alike. Once again, emphasis has been placed on space, light and the view across the lake. Contemporary dark timber furnishings together with a color palette of chocolate, burnt orange and warm greys create an atmosphere of casual elegance.

Our Brasserie offers delicious and authentic Brasserie dishes, as well as original Swiss specialties including a large wine menu with local and international treasures.

The new Lobby Lounge-Bar is the ideal place to get together. Reveal your senses with classic cocktails, premium international spirits, fine wines or a premium glass of Champagne. During day time the Lounge-Bar offers on top a wide selection of home made pastries served with tea and coffee specialties.
