The Nullarbor Links are on course to open later this year!
The surveying and mapping, the earthworks and landscaping, have all been completed, and Saturday 20th June 2009 saw the beginning of work on the final task: The laying of the Synthetic Tees and Greens.
Project Manager Alf Caputo advises that the course will be officially opened with a tournament to be run over 4 days in October 2009, commencing in Ceduna on Thursday the 22nd and finishing with a presentation in Kalgoorlie on Tuesday the 27th.

Alf also announced the unveiling of a upgraded website, to bring news of this thrilling project to the world, and to accept expressions of interest in being part of October's opening tournament.
Nullarbor Links - The World's Longest Golf Course
The Nullarbor Links concept is unique. The 18-hole par 72 golf course will span 1,365 kilometers with one hole in each participating town or roadhouse along the Eyre Highway, from Kalgoorlie in Western Australia to Ceduna in South Australia. Each hole will include a green and tee and somewhat rugged outback-style natural terrain fairway. The course would provide a quintessential Australian experience and a much-needed activity/attraction for travelers along the renowned desolate highway.
