Indonesia's national airline, Garuda Indonesia, will increase flights on its Bangkok-Jakarta route to a daily service this month, from the current thrice-weekly flights. The airline will also increase capacity on this route by 15%.
The new frequencies will operate from 25 October and will depart Bangkok's Suvarnabhumi Airport at an earlier time of 14.10 and arrive at Soekarna-Hatta Airport in Jakarta at 17.35 local time. The return service will take off at 09.40 and arrive in Bangkok at 13.10.
"We've see an increase in passenger demand from Thailand since we introduced a more convenient day time service earlier in the year. The new schedule will also provide both business and leisure travellers easy onward connections to other regional cities from Jakarta, as well as domestic destinations," said Bambang Sunan, General Manager for Thailand, Myanmar, Laos & Cambodia, Garuda Indonesia.
